For those that are not are not 100% dedicated gluten free restaurants, they are places we have researched, they all have knowledgeable staff and are places we feel comfortable eating.

They have several locations on Long Island. They are 100% gluten free with lots of options for breakfast, lunch, desserts, holidays and other special occasions. We happen to be big fans of their falafel pita sandwich!

This place is like a second home to us. We started coming here prior to our children getting diagnosed and they were so supportive through our diagnosis, helping to create a safe gluten free menu. This place and their staff is very special to our family.

Chipotle (locations all over)
We have been very successful eating at Chipotle. The only things that contain gluten are the tortillas for tacos and burritos. Just ask the server to change their gloves. We always get bowls there. It is nice to be able to choose a variety of things to make a delicious and satisfying bowl.
Dirty Taco
We frequent the Port Washington location in the summer because it is a great atmosphere and right on the water. The staff seem very
knowledgable. They have several gluten free options on the menu.

They have homemade gluten free pizzas and lots of other gluten free options. Just speak to the staff. They are knowledgable and we feel very safe there.
Il Capuccino

We love eating here when we our out in the Hamptons in the summer. It’s located in Sag Harbor. It is not 100% gluten free but the owner has celiac and the chef has separate cookware for all of the gluten free food. Everything is delicious!
Lobster Roll aka Lunch

We always make a stop here on our way to Montauk in the summers. Although not 100% gluten free, they do have a gluten free menu and a dedicated fryer. All gluten free food comes out with a flag. They are very safe about all allergies. They even have delicious gluten free cupcakes.

Nino’s Beach

This is a beautiful spot right on the water in Port Washington. It is an upscale restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine and seafood along with incredible cocktails. Although not 100% gluten free, the chef has Celiac Disease and prepares all of the gluten free options separately. There is a nice variety of gluten free meals including homemade pasta and Detroit deep dish pizza.

We are huge fans of Playa Bowls. They have gluten free granola and are willing to make any other substitutions. To be honest they don’t have very much gluten in their stores but make sure you inform them of any allergies. Their bowls are delicious. They have locations all over the country. We tried our first one when we visited the University of Delaware while college hunting and then found one on Long Island that we like to frequent. There are also several locations in NYC.

We happen to love the gluten free grandma’s pizza here! Lots of pizza options and other gluten free meals and desserts.
Tenjin Sushi

This is a modern New York sushi bar that offers a wide selection of gluten free options. They even have gluten free tempura!
The staff is knowledgeable and the atmosphere is nice.
