For those that are not are not 100% dedicated gluten free restaurants, they are places we have researched, they all have knowledgeable staff and are places we feel comfortable eating.

This is the most incredible specialty food market I have ever visited. They sell some of the best gluten free brands out there plus they make so many prepared options: meals, sides, pizza, bread and baked goods. I cannot recommend visiting somewhere more than here!

Dana’s Bakery

We are big fans of Dana’s Bakery. They have amazing macarons, the best black and whites and the famous mookie (macaron inside of a cookie). They have a variety of flavors and are always adding fun new ones. They offer so many options during the holidays as well. It’s 100% gluten free and kosher. You can order online and have them shipped.

This small little shop has become quite famous on social media so expect a line! It is 100% gluten free; serving ice cream, waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches and the most famous, to die for, hot chocolate out there! My mouth is watering just thinking about their hot chocolate!

The above is their original location but they now have two other locations in NYC (one on the Upper East Side and one in Chelsea) and three locations in California. Two of their NYC locations have evening dinner menus. They continue to work on opening more stores and they do ship nationwide.
This is one of our favorite spots in NYC! The owner is quite special, creating her own flour blends based off of places she traveled to and places where she studied her culinary skills. Each blend is created for certain types of baked goods. She has amazing recipes. The restaurant sells many of her baked goods there including hands down the best gluten free bagels out there! The menu is also inspired by some of her favorite foods from around the world. Everything is amazing! Not only 100% gluten free but also kosher.

This bakery is like nothing I have ever seen gluten or no gluten! There is nothing like walking into a 100% gluten free bakery and seeing your kids faces light up with excitement over which dessert they should possibly choose! One dessert is better than the next!

This place is quite amazing! The quality of the food is top notch and the owner and staff are wonderful! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. I happen to be a big fan of the Bruschetta Al Funghi and their Arancini Con Quattro for appetizers. My kids love their pasta dishes and the Pollo Alla Parmigiana. I was fortunate enough to meet some wonderful Instagram friends here for an evening out back in May 2023.

This small cafe is 100% gluten free and a place we love to go when we venture to the city and shop in nearby Soho. They have a selection of baked goods, pastries and breads as well as a brunch menu. My kids love their pizza and the chef’s cheese bread but they also have salads, eggs, pancakes, French toast and more.

This is a favorite place of ours! There are several locations throughout the city but we are most comfortable with the staff and menu at the Herald Square location. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free and the food is delicious!
Jack’s All Day

The newest of the Friedman’s Hospitality Group restaurants, this place serves American comfort food and has great brunch. Although not 100% gluten free the Friedman’s Hospitality Group understands gluten free dining and almost all items can safely be made gluten free, just like all of the originals Friedman’s.

We have been coming here since the kids were first diagnosed. It isn’t always easy finding gluten free Asian food but this is the best Asian food we have ever had gluten or no gluten! The staff here is quite knowledgeable and the food is excellent. They have a sister restaurant called Pink Nori in Astoria, Queens.
