Ingredients:
Bottom
· 4-6 apples (I generally use Gala apples.)
· ¼ cup sugar
· ½ teaspoon cinnamon
· ½ cup chopped walnuts
Top
· ½ cup of sugar
· 1 cup gluten free flour (We use Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour Multipurpose Flour.)
· 2 eggs beaten
· 1 stick butter, melted
· ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
· ¼ teaspoon salt
Directions:
For the bottom use the Zulay Kitchen apple corer to core the apples and then peel and slice the apples. Mix with the cinnamon, sugar and nuts in a 9” pie plate (not buttered).
For the top/crust beat the eggs. Add melted butter, flour, salt, sugar and vanilla. Use the Zulay Kitchen dough blender to combine the ingredients for the crust. Pour the crust (it will be thick) over the apple mixture and spread evenly. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
