Rigatoni with Sausage Bolognese

  • 1 lb. of sausage (We use sausage that is not in the casing. If you purchase sausage in the casing, just remove it from the casing before cooking.)
  • 1/2 large onion (sliced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce (We used Rao’s Marinara  for this recipe. You can also use Pomi sauce, finely chopped or chopped tomatoes in the container.)
  • Gluten Free Rigatoni  (We used Charlie’s Table Rigatoni.)


In a large sauté pan, cook the sausage until it is cooked thoroughly.  Take the sausage out and set it aside. Then sauté the onion and garlic in a small amount of olive oil for about five minutes or until the onions are translucent. Add the jar of sauce and cook all together for about 10 minutes.  Add the sausage back in. Once the pasta is cooked, add the pasta to the sauce or top the pasta with the sauce. Garnish with some parmesan cheese and parsley, if you like. Enjoy!
